Don’t know much about snakes in Missouri except that more of them have been sighted this summer here in Cape Girardeau. A few weeks ago, I sighted one too: In my living room. Ran to get the camera, took a picture, then moved the curtain, and at that point the snake started moving and I hopped out of sight to get my phone. (Knowing that only about 30 people die of snake bites in the US every year, I am not too scared of them but when one moves towards me, i guess instinct kicks in and I start running.) When I came back, the snake had disappeared. I only hope it left through an open balcony door. The strange thing is, the day before the snake event, I had begun working on a tree of life quilt block. Here are pictures of both.
